Tinubu To Embark On Three-Nation Trip

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to travel to France, Kenya, and Rwanda on an official visit starting Saturday, May 2.

This was disclosed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Tinubu will first visit France before heading to Nairobi to attend the Africa-France Summit scheduled for next week.

The summit, co-hosted by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key issues such as energy transition, digital transformation, climate action, and reforms in global financing systems.

Tinubu’s participation in the summit, which will take place from May 11 to 12, is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s partnerships with African countries and France. The event, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will bring together leaders to discuss economic development, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and peace-building.

After the summit in Kenya, the president will travel to Kigali to attend the Africa CEO Forum from May 14 to 15.

The forum, held in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, will gather over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss ways to boost economic growth, regional integration, and cross-border investment in Africa.

At both events, Tinubu is expected to present his administration’s economic reforms aimed at attracting investment and driving growth in Nigeria. He will also meet with global and African business leaders.

The president will be accompanied by some ministers and senior aides and is expected to return to Nigeria after the Rwanda engagement.
