
Police arrest 10 suspected human parts dealers in Oyo
The police in Oyo State have arrested 10 people suspected of dealing in human body parts and recovered suspected human parts and charms.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Ibadan.

He said the suspects were arrested after months of intelligence gathering and surveillance by the command’s monitoring unit.
According to him, the suspects were arrested at different hideouts in Iseyin and Saki.
Police searches at the hideouts led to the recovery of a suspected human heart, human flesh, pieces of human skull and various charms.
Ayanlade said the recovered items had been secured for forensic examination and further investigation.
He added that the suspects were helping investigators determine where the items came from, how they were obtained and what they were meant for.
The police are also working to identify and arrest other members of the suspected syndicate.
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo, Abimbola Olugbenga, commended the officers for the operation and assured residents that the command would continue to work to protect lives and rid the state of criminals.
