Gatti rescues Juventus in draw with AC Milan
Federico Gatti scored in stoppage time to rescue Juventus from defeat as they drew 1-1 with AC Milan in Serie A on Sunday.
Milan took the lead in the 68th minute when 19-year-old Alphadjo Cisse finished well after receiving a cross from Samuel Chukwueze.
Juventus pushed for an equaliser and were rewarded in the second minute of added time when Gatti, who had come off the bench, headed in Teun Koopmeiners’ cross.
The result left both teams unbeaten after three league matches, with seven points each. Milan are ahead of Juventus on goal difference.
Juventus had the better chances for much of the game, but Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan made several important saves to keep his side ahead before Gatti’s late equaliser.
The draw also ended AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim’s perfect start to the Serie A season.
