Nigerian singer Davido has been vocal in his criticism of former Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick. This comes after allegations that Davido failed to show up for a scheduled show in Warri, despite receiving a payment of $94,600 and having his flight arranged.
Amaju Pinnick, in a video shared on social media, accused the Afrobeat singer of being a no-show for the event scheduled for October 6, 2023. Pinnick claimed that they had paid Davido $94,600 on April 6th, along with an additional $18,000 for his flight.

In response, the 30-year-old Davido took to social media, including Twitter, to fire back at Pinnick, calling him out for hypocrisy and living in a “glass house.”
Subsequently, Davido made a new statement via his Instagram stories on Saturday night, pledging to return the money and even double it for a football charity organization in Nigeria. He also accused Pinnick of using funds meant for the organization to maintain a lavish lifestyle in the upscale Ikoyi area of Lagos.
Davido expressed his intent to make amends, stating, “I wanna donate money to @thenofficial [a football charity organization] been suffering for too long it’s not fair… let’s do something.”
