Twitter owner, Elon Musk has surpassed former United States President, Barack Obama, as the most followed person on the microblogging platform.
A check on their Twitter pages by our correspondent revealed that Musk now has 133.1 million followers as against the 133 million followers of Mr. Obama.

Since his $44 billion takeover of Twitter on April 14, 2022, Musk’s followers grew from 35 million to 133.1 million followers.
In June 2022, he became the sixth user on the platform to reach a nine-digit follower count.
Despite the massive surge in followers, the world’s richest man only followed 186 people on the platform.
