BREAKING: Gov Yusuf Officially Reinstates Sanusi II As Emir Of Kano
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has signed the Emirate Repeal Law 2024 deposing the five emirates created by former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2019, officially reinstating the deposed 14th Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II.
Addressing the press shortly after signing the law, the Kano State governor revealed the five dethroned emirs have 48 hours to vacate the palaces and submit all items owned by the Emirate in their possession to the office of the deputy governor of the state.

Governor Yusuf also called for peace and harmony to reign in the state during this transition period.
