Obi Asks Tinubu to Resign Over Governance Failures

He pointed to the resignation of Keir Starmer as an example of responsibility in leadership.
Obi recalled that before becoming president, Tinubu had urged former President Goodluck Jonathan to resign over insecurity and economic hardship, especially after the Chibok school kidnapping.
He also reminded Nigerians of Tinubu’s campaign promises on electricity, fighting corruption, and improving citizens’ welfare. According to Obi, conditions have worsened since Tinubu took office, with rising hardship, persistent power shortages, and increasing insecurity.
Obi said these challenges amount to a major failure in governance and urged the president to step down, arguing that such a move would promote accountability and strengthen democratic leadership in Nigeria.
