Arabella Star Magazine Editor-in-Chief Commends NUJ FCT Leadership on Journalists’ Welfare
The Editor-in-Chief of Arabella Star Magazine has commended the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists for its efforts in improving the welfare and healthcare of journalists.
The Editor-in-Chief praised the council’s chairman, Grace Ike, and her executive team for introducing initiatives that support journalists in Abuja and other parts of the country.
He described the leadership as committed, caring, and focused on restoring dignity to the journalism profession in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to him, the reforms and programmes introduced by the council have helped to build unity among journalists, boost confidence in the union, and improve its public image.
He also noted that in over 10 years of involvement in union activities, he had rarely seen such strong commitment to members’ welfare.
The Editor-in-Chief added that the initiatives have strengthened journalism practice and made the union more active and visible.
He further prayed for continued success for the leadership, expressing hope that the current administration would leave a lasting positive legacy.
The commendation comes as the 2026 NUJ FCT Press Week continues, featuring activities such as free medical outreach, public discussions, and campaigns promoting ethical journalism ahead of the 2027 general elections.
