Comrade Odion Musa, a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council and a sports anchor at Liberty TV, performed very well at the recent Nigeria Athletics Masters Championship held in Abuja.
He won one gold medal and one bronze medal at the competition.
Odion Musa competed against athletes from different groups, including the Nigeria Army, Navy, Air Force, Immigration, media organisations, and others. He won the gold medal in the 110 meters hurdles (M35 category).
He also helped his team win a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 meters relay race.
Apart from athletics, Odion Musa is active in other sports. He is the captain of the NUJ football team and also plays table tennis. He is a member of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).
In addition to sports and journalism, he promotes honesty and fairness. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Sports Integrity Foundation.
The championship also featured former Nigerian champions like Mike Monye and international athletes from Poland, along with other top athletes.
