Governor Yusuf Distributes Over 73,000 Desks to Schools Across Kano

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has taken a significant step towards enhancing the education sector by distributing 73,800 three-seater desks to schools across the state’s 44 local government areas.

This distribution is part of his broader effort to implement the State of Emergency on Education, aimed at creating a better learning environment for every child in Kano.

During the distribution ceremony held at the Trade Fair Complex, Governor Yusuf highlighted the crucial role of providing adequate furniture in helping students concentrate and excel in their studies.

He noted that the desks, designed for both durability and comfort, will serve students today and in the years to come.

Governor Yusuf expressed his gratitude to over 11,000 young carpenters and welders who contributed to this school infrastructure project, emphasizing the government’s commitment to promoting local skills and empowering Kano’s youth.

In a picture shared by Kwankwasiyya Media Assistant, Ibrahim Adam, the governor was captured inspecting the newly crafted desks.

This initiative is a testament to Governor Yusuf’s dedication to fulfilling his 2023 election promises, improving Kano’s education system, and encouraging community participation in the development of the state.
