Transcorp Hilton Abuja has named Martin Zarybnicky as its new General Manager.
His appointment officially began on August 1, 2025.
Martin has over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry, working with big hotel brands in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.
He has held top roles in countries like Thailand, Egypt, and Russia.
This is not his first time working with Hilton, he was once the General Manager at Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort in Egypt.
The Managing Director and CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Mrs. Uzo Oshogwe, welcomed him, saying his global experience will bring new ideas and improve how guests are treated at the hotel.
Zarybnicky is known for improving hotel performance, making guests happy, leading big renovations, and helping hotels succeed long-term.
He has received many awards for his leadership in different parts of the world.
Andreas Lackner, a senior Hilton official for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean, also praised the appointment, saying Martin’s international experience and leadership make him a perfect fit for the hotel.
As General Manager, Martin will be in charge of all hotel operations.
His goals include growing the hotel’s business, improving daily operations, and making sure guests have the best possible experience.
In his first statement, Zarybnicky said he is happy to return to Africa and work at one of the continent’s top hotels.
He praised Nigeria as a growing and exciting market for hospitality and said he looks forward to working with the team to show the world the warmth of Nigerian hospitality.
Transcorp Hilton Abuja, opened in 1987, has 668 rooms and is one of the largest hotels in Sub-Saharan Africa.
It is owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc and operated under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
