Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara Attends Church in First Public Appearance After UK Trip

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, appeared in public for the first time after returning from a two-week trip to the United Kingdom.

On Sunday, Fubara attended a special Thanksgiving Service held by the Brigade Metropolitan Battalion Council Nigeria at St. Cyprian’s Church, Anglican Communion, in Port Harcourt.

He was joined at the event by respected elders, Amaopusenibo Fubara Hart and Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja. The service was led by Bishop Emmanuel Oko-Jaja.

According to his media aide, Nelson Chukwudi, the service celebrated the success of the Boys Brigade’s religious camp in the state. Special prayers were offered for Fubara, his family, and for peace in Rivers State.

Governor Fubara has been in the spotlight since President Bola Tinubu suspended him due to a political crisis involving his former mentor, Nyesom Wike.
