Kidnapped Kebbi judge regains freedom
A High Court judge who was kidnapped in Kebbi State last week has regained his freedom, police have confirmed.
Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza was abducted by gunmen from his home in Bunza town on July 26.

Kebbi State Police Command spokesperson, Bashir Usman, said the judge was released on Monday.
He said the kidnappers had demanded a ransom, but insisted that the police did not pay any money for his release.
Authorities did not disclose how the judge regained his freedom.
Police said the kidnappers are still on the run, adding that security agencies have intensified efforts to arrest those responsible.
Kidnapping for ransom remains a major security challenge in parts of northwestern Nigeria, where armed gangs, commonly known as bandits, frequently attack communities, steal livestock and abduct people.
Last month, retired Major General Rabe Abubakar and his wife were kidnapped in neighbouring Katsina State. Abubakar later died while in captivity.
In June, a traditional ruler in Argungu, Kebbi State, urged residents to contribute money to buy weapons to defend themselves against bandit attacks.
