The power tussle within the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seemed to have been put to rest on Wednesday as Senator Samuel Anyanwu was formally mandated to resume immediately as the National Secretary of the party.
This position was made known on Wednesday during a press briefing by the Acting National Chairman of PDP, Ambassador Umar Damagum, at the party’s Wadata Plaza National Secretariat in Abuja.

The Acting National Chairman also announced that the proposed 100th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party will no longer hold due to procedural irregularities.
Instead, the party will hold a National Caucus meeting on June 30, a date which was earlier scheduled for NEC meeting.
