History has been made in Nigeria’s capital! In the full glare of the world and under the inspiration of a nation, Chibuike Livinus Victor, a brave and dynamo Nigerian journalist, has broken the Guinness World Record by completing an incredible 75-hour interview marathon, a triumph that sets the bar higher for endurance, for narrative, and for African journalism.

The marathon started right on time at 12:20 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, and ended on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at 3:40 PM.

Chibuike worked day and night for three days and three nights, going far above the requirement of 72 hours and 30 seconds of interviews, and pushing the boundaries to a record-breaking 75 hours of informative, interesting interviews.

“I did not do it for fame,” Chibuike announced as soon as he finished his last session, tired but full of pride.

“I did it for all the voices that were not heard in Nigeria, for the power of stories, and to demonstrate to the world what Nigerian journalists are capable of doing.”

Hosted at the picturesque Harrow Golf Club in Abuja, the record-breaking event hosted more than 150 varied guests covering a broad spectrum of subject matter such as politics, entertainment, current affairs, state of the nation, business, and agriculture.

Attendees included a sizable number of fellow journalists who brought new ideas and were part of the celebration of the profession that the marathon itself was a tribute to.

With every one of his guests, Chibuike asked piercing questions, gentle empathy, and the sort of journalistic brilliance that had viewers glued to their seats hour after hour.

The effort adhered to strict Guinness World Record guidelines, with a team of expert medical professionals, nutritionists, timekeepers, and technical staff on hand throughout the marathon to monitor compliance and safety.

As the clock ticked toward triumph, Abuja’s air was charged.

Helping to facilitate the sellout of the hall and filling the social media platforms with the popular hashtag #Chibuike75Hours were fans worldwide witnessing this bold Nigerian writer make history.

Congratulations flooded in from peers, artists, government officials, and commentators abroad, who wrote to dub his record “iconic,” “legendary,” and “a source of pride for Africa.”

This is not only a personal achievement feat for Chibuike, it’s a national victory, a testimony of high power that shows the capacity for greatness when courage is combined with intent.

His achievement has made millions of African young people dream big, think big, and set limits.

Chibuike Livinus Victor hasn’t merely broken the Guinness World Records, he’s broken into the hearts of Nigerians and lovers worldwide.
