Novak Djokovic made history by becoming the oldest man to reach the semi-finals of a Masters 1000 tournament. The 37-year-old Serbian star defeated American Sebastian Korda 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) at the Miami Open.
Djokovic started strong, breaking Korda’s serve early and winning the first set comfortably. Korda fought back in the second set, forcing a tie-break, but Djokovic remained calm and sealed the match with a powerful serve.

Now aiming for his seventh Miami Open title and first since 2016, Djokovic credited his victory to his strong serving, winning 84% of his first-serve points.
“One word—serve. This was my best serving performance in a long time,” Djokovic said.
If he wins the tournament, it will be his 100th career singles title. He will face Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-final.
Young Czech Player Reaches First Masters Semi-Final
19-year-old Jakub Mensik from the Czech Republic secured his first-ever Masters semi-final by beating France’s Arthur Fils 7-6 (7/5), 6-1.
Fils had a big win earlier against top seed Alexander Zverev but struggled against Mensik’s strong serves. Despite putting up a fight in the first set, Fils showed signs of exhaustion in the second.
“This is my biggest result so far. I just kept pushing since the first round,” Mensik said.
In the semi-final, Mensik will face American third seed Taylor Fritz, who defeated Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in a tough match, 7-5, 6-7 (7/9), 7-5.
Fritz had six match points in the second set but couldn’t close it out. However, he stayed focused and eventually won in the third set.
“I had chances to finish earlier, but I had to work extra hard in the third set,” Fritz said.
The Miami Open semi-finals promise exciting battles as Djokovic, Dimitrov, Mensik, and Fritz fight for the title.
