Police Arrest 3 Wanted Kidnap Suspects and Arms Supplier in Abuja

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has arrested three men who have long been wanted for kidnapping and murder in Abuja and surrounding states.

They were also caught with someone believed to be supplying them with weapons.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ajoa Saka Adewale, told journalists that the suspects were captured by officers from the command’s Scorpion Squad, led by ACP Victor O. Godfrey.

He explained that the arrests were made following reliable digital intelligence.

The suspects were tracked and arrested during coordinated police operations in Kaduna, Niger, and Nasarawa states.

The police gave the names of the suspects as Ya’u Shittu from Kafanchan in Kaduna State, Saleh Usman from Niger State, and Ibrahim Abdullahi, who lives in Mpape, Abuja.

According to the police, all three men had been on the command’s wanted list. They are believed to be part of a dangerous kidnapping gang that has carried out several violent attacks and abductions in the FCT and nearby areas.

One of them is also accused of supplying weapons to the group.

Investigations are ongoing as the police continue efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks operating within the region.
