Akpabio Denies Plotting to Kill Senator Natasha, Calls Accusation False

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has denied claims made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan that he and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello planned to kill her.

Senator Natasha made the claim during a welcome event with her supporters in Kogi State.

But Akpabio, through his media aide Eseme Eyibo, said the accusation is completely false and dangerous.

He said Natasha is only trying to get media attention and damage his reputation.

Akpabio’s office said this isn’t the first time Natasha has made such claims. In the past, she accused him of sexual harassment, but later dropped it.

They also said she has made similar accusations against others, including Yahaya Bello, in 2019 and 2023.

The Senate President’s aide also responded to former Senator Elisha Abbo, who recently repeated an old claim that Akpabio influenced the court to remove him from office.

The statement said Abbo had already taken back that claim in 2023 and even apologized.

Akpabio’s team believes these fresh attacks are part of a politically motivated plan to discredit him.

They said legal steps are being taken to demand public apologies and compensation from both Natasha and Abbo.

Akpabio said he will not be distracted and will continue focusing on his duties as Senate President.
