King Charles Cancels Appointments Due to Cancer Treatment Side Effects

King Charles III canceled his meetings on Thursday and Friday after experiencing side effects from his cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace announced.

The 76-year-old monarch was briefly observed in the hospital before returning home to Clarence House.

As a precaution, his scheduled events, including meetings with ambassadors and a visit to Birmingham, have been postponed.

Despite this setback, sources say the king is in good spirits, working from home on state matters.

His cancer diagnosis was made public in February 2024, though the exact type has not been disclosed.

Treatment is expected to continue into 2025.

Buckingham Palace apologized for any inconvenience caused by the cancellations.

However, the king’s upcoming trip to Italy in April is still expected to proceed.
