Sit-at-Home Cancelled: We Have Taken Back South-East from Criminals – Joe Igbokwe

A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has said criminal activities in the South-East will not continue following the cancellation of the Monday sit-at-home order.

Igbokwe said the region is now being taken back from criminals and that such insecurity should never happen again.

He shared his views in a post on Facebook, where he said the South-East has gradually been reclaimed. According to him, Igboland should not suffer this level of crime again in modern times.

He added that education in the region should be used for the good of society and not wasted.

Igbokwe also criticised some adults in Onitsha and people he described as IPOB fraudsters. He accused them of misleading young people to protest by shouting slogans against Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo.

He said those people have now disappeared in shame, adding that the region’s problems were caused by its own people.

His comments followed the decision by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to cancel the Monday sit-at-home order in the South-East.
