The Rivers State House of Assembly has stopped the impeachment process against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
The decision was taken on Thursday when the lawmakers met again in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The move came after the intervention of Bola Tinubu.
Earlier this year, the Assembly started the impeachment process.
They accused the governor and his deputy of serious misconduct.
The allegations included the demolition of the State Assembly complex and spending government money without approval from lawmakers, among other claims.
