Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has been freed from detention. He has returned home to bury his late mother.
His son, Bashir El-Rufai, confirmed the news on social media.

He said his father’s detention was “unlawful and illegal.” He also criticized the agency that held his father, calling it “one of the most corrupt agencies” in Nigeria.
Bashir thanked everyone who supported the family. He said, “We have overcome, as the El-Rufai’s always do.”
