Shettima shared this message on Sunday in Abuja through his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, as part of the Easter celebration.
He said the government is working hard to bring peace, improve the economy, and create long-term progress. He explained that rebuilding a country often requires patience, sacrifice, and people working together.
The Vice-President said he believes Nigeria will overcome its current economic and security problems. He added that even though people are facing serious challenges, the country has always been strong in difficult times.
“I am confident that if we stay united, make sacrifices, and believe in our country, we will overcome these challenges,” he said.
Shettima urged Nigerians to stay united and support the government’s reforms. He said progress takes time, patience, and cooperation from everyone.
He also asked citizens to avoid division and instead focus on what brings them together. According to him, Nigeria’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths.
Speaking about Easter, Shettima said it is a time that reminds Christians about sacrifice, hope, and new life. He said it shows that difficult times do not last forever.
He explained that Easter represents hope overcoming sadness and light overcoming darkness.
“Easter reminds us that people who do not give up will eventually succeed. It shows how hope can rise even in hard times,” he said.
