Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has set a new record for the most-watched TikTok livestream in Africa, attracting a total of 389,800 viewers.
The milestone was achieved during a livestream co-hosted with TikTok stars Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq on Wednesday, October 30. At its peak, the stream gathered over 164,000 simultaneous viewers.

During the session, Davido received more than 377 “lion” gifts from fans on TikTok, with each lion valued at $400. He announced that the earnings from these gifts would be shared among his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
Previously, Peller held the record for the most-watched TikTok livestream in Africa, a title he earned in a session featuring singer Tiwa Savage.
Davido’s achievement has now set a new benchmark for livestream viewership on the platform in the region.
