The Dangote Refinery says it has sold 12 large shipments of fuel, totaling 456,000 tonnes, to other African countries.
This shows that the refinery can produce more fuel than Nigeria needs.

These shipments went to countries like Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Tanzania, Ghana, and Togo.
The refinery started selling this fuel after it reached its full production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day in February.
The refinery said this is an important achievement. It shows that Nigeria can now supply high-quality fuel to West Africa and other regions. In the past, this region often received lower-quality fuel from other countries.
The refinery also said this will help improve energy security in West, East, and Central Africa. It will reduce delays in getting fuel and lower costs for nearby countries.
It will also help build stronger trade relationships between Nigeria and other African nations.
