The Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has upheld a complaint filed by Morocco, overturning Senegal’s victory in the final of the AFCON tournament held in Morocco.
After reviewing the case, the committee said there were several violations committed by the Senegal team during the final match.

As a result, CAF awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory and officially declared them champions of the tournament.
This decision cancels the earlier ruling made by CAF’s Disciplinary Committee, following an appeal by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) over incidents that occurred during the final.
CAF stated that some actions by Senegal players, including leaving the pitch and causing delays during the match, violated its rules, particularly Articles 82 and 84 of the AFCON regulations.
With this final ruling, Morocco has now been officially confirmed as the winners of this year’s AFCON tournament.
