EARLY LIFE OF APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN
Full name Joshua Selman Nimmak, popularly known as Apostle Joshua Selman. The preacher was born Born on 25th June 1980 (age 41 years), in Jos, Plateau State to orthodox Christian parents. The minister holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State. Apostle Joshua Selman is a Nigerian Gospel minister, instrumentalist, Chemical Engineer, conference speaker, and televangelist. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Eternity Network International.
Apostle Joshua Selman hails from a very small village in Langtan LGA, of Plateau state, Nigeria but he spent a large part of his life in Zaria, Kaduna state where he was schooled. Growing up as a young man who loves God, His Father once told him to stop deceiving himself with all this so-called spirituality that will lead him nowhere and that he will become a failure in life, obviously that is not the case today.
At some point in Apostle Joshua Selmans life he was greatly afflicted by deadly diseases that almost claimed his life but God’s healing power and mercy rescued him from the cold hands of death. Today he is a very successful and widely celebrated man of God with his popular message and revelation about the supernatural power and manifestation of the holy spirit.
The supernatural manifestation of Gods power during every meeting he is ministering, attests to the fact that he has been called by God. He got born again as a child, during a Sunday school session.
His journey into ministry started in his Secondary school days after God brought a mentor his way who mentored and shaped his life by teaching him the rudiments of Christian character. That relationship was the motivation that he needed because he already had an inclination for the things of God. Subsequently he began to pursue God truly and sincerely from his heart and the end result is what the body of Christ is celebrating today.
As a teenager, his unwavering love for God even at that time caught the attention of many people as he had an inclination for spiritual things. Growing up the Apostle was always found alone reading Christian books and studying the bible diligently while his peers were busy with secular activities, this trend continued into his undergraduate days at ABU Zaria, where he always moves to a solitary dam site and be studying the word of God and praying in the spirit which helped in preparing and shaping him into becoming the supernatural preacher of the gospel that he is today.
His first experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit happened in a meeting where a certain man of God was ministering and thus began his ‘journey’ to the realm of the supernatural.
Not much has been documented about his primary and secondary school education respectively but he had his tertiary education at the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria where he studied chemical engineering and also had the opportunity to begin his work as a minister of God as an undergraduate preaching and sharing the gospel to fellow students in collaboration with his friends who also love God and the things of God.
HIS SUPERNATURAL ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD
Apostle Joshua Selman consistently share his supernatural encounters during ministrations. He has had many spiritual encounters with God which to a large extent are the reasons why you see the mighty move of the hand of God in and through his life.
One of such encounters happened in Jos, plateau state in 2005 in a crusade organized by Evangelist Reinhard Bonke’s. while Apostle Joshua Selman was standing in the crowd, and the Man of God Reinhard Bonke was ministering, all of a sudden his spiritual eyes were opened and he saw the holy spirit appeared in the similitude of a very mighty bird that is as big as an airplane with shiny wings hovering all around the crusade ground and before he could realize that it was an encounter with the holy ghost, he was already backing the pulpit. Immediately after that encounter, another dimension of the supernatural was open to him and his work with God never remain the same afterwards. That encounter shifted his ministry into another dimension of signs and wonders.
His most dramatic encounter was when Jesus Christ Himself appeared and stood before him. All Jesus did was stretch His hand towards him and a great beam of light came upon him.
Apostle Joshua selman is a product of many graces/impartations. He has received impartations from several great generals of the gospel like bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor E.A Adeboye and so many others around the world. The most notable spiritual mentors who greatly influenced him are; Dr Mike Murdock, Dr Myles Munroe, Oral Roberts, Kenneth E. Haggin, Kenneth copeland, Pastor Benni Hin, John G. Lake, T.L Osbourn.
He had many challenges in his early days as a minister of the gospel that discouraged him to a very large extent, but that changed after the spiritual encounter he had on 2nd of December, 2002 where someone tapped him on the hand while he slept and as he awoke, he knew it was Jesus though he couldn’t explain how he knew and immediately he then began to cry profusely then he rededicated himself for the Master’s use again.
APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN’S MINISTRY (HOW KOINONIA STARTED)
Apostle Joshua Selman started his ministry as an undergraduate student at Ahmadu bello University Zaria, Kaduna state. He would often go to the dam located close to the university to pray and ask God to reveal to him his purpose in life.
One night, in a vision he was standing in front of a tower that looked like one of the University’s hostels, suddenly, he saw a pool of people without an end crying and sobbing saying, there is no food and water. He immediately felt immense compassion on them. In the vision, it was like he had the key to their solutions and they affirmed that he was the reason they were in that condition. When he came back from that encounter, he immediately knew that God had called him to be a preacher and a minister of the gospel.
Today he has reached out to millions of people globally with his message about the supernatural and healing powers of God. In most of his meetings, there were and still are records of notable testimonies and undeniable proofs of the blind regaining their sight, the lame rising up to walk again, supernatural replacements of damaged body organs. Hiv vanishes into the air and so many other signs and wonders beyond the realm of science and natural sequences.
There were also testimonies of people who while listening to his audio messages received their breakthroughs and healings from several diseases at the instance of those particular audio messages.
The headquarters of Eternity network international a.k.a Koinonia is located in Zaria. However, he holds his weekly Sunday evening meetings and a monthly miracle service in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.

That encounter brought another level of anointing and understanding into his life as he began to have extraordinary insight into the Word like never before. In collaboration with some of his friends at the university who are now also anointed men of God, maximized the privilege they got to share with their fellow students the love of Jesus Christ. They continued in that trend and preached at every program that they were permitted to.
It is also worthy to note that the supernatural manifestations of the power of God that flows through the apostle were also very significant during his university days in the area of the prophetic, healing the sick and miracles. It was in the light of his discovery of the powerful anointing upon him and following the leading of the Holy Spirit that he wasted no time in founding a ministry called Eternity Network International in Zaria, Kaduna State in March 2011. In that same year, the ministry organized a program named “KOINONIA” which marked the beginning of a glorious journey with the Holy Spirit.
