The match ended goalless after 90 minutes of play on Saturday evening, with neither team able to score.

The referee then ended the game and the match went straight to a penalty shootout, without extra time.
Dele Bashiru took Nigeria’s first penalty but missed after the Egyptian goalkeeper saved his shot.
For Egypt, both Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush also missed their penalties.
Akor Adams, Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, and Ademola Lookman scored four penalties for Nigeria.
Their goals helped Nigeria win the shootout and secure third place in the tournament.
