Former Students Commit to Restoring BUK’s MKM Galadanci Library

Old students of the Department of Nigerian languages, Bayero University, Kano have vowed to renovate the famous MKM Galadanci library in the department of Nigerian Languages.

The chairman of the Class of 2015 of the department, Alh Hassan Baita Ubawaru, disclosed this when presenting three new photocopy machines the union purchased for the department.

Presenting the new photocopy machines, Alh Hassan Baita Ubawaru, said the intention is to ensure smooth running of the affairs of the department.

Ubawaru said that the members of the union are willing to assist in any way that will ensure smooth running of the affairs of the department.

Speaking, a former secretary of Hausa Students Union, Bayero University, Muhammad Bashir Amin, said that the union has good plans for the department.

He said that the union is considering some projects to upgrade the department for the betterment of education in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.

In his remarks, the head of department Nigerian languages, Professor Isah Mukhtar, appreciated the gesture, saying such donations will help BUK and the department to scale further accreditations.

Those who attended the event include the representative from the University, faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies and staff from the Department of Nigerian Languages, among other important personalities of the university.
